Testimonials – What patients say about the sports practice

Overview of Our Range of Services

Conservative Therapy

In daily life, pain diminishes the quality of life. Pain also impairs physical performance in sports and at work.

However, pain can be treated! With the help of Shock Wave Therapy.

Usually, 3 treatments at short intervals are necessary. The therapy method activates the body’s self-healing powers and continues to have an effect even after the treatment is completed.

Common indications include:

  • Tennis/Golfer’s elbow
  • Shoulder pain (Calcific Tendinosis)
  • Trochanteric bursitis
  • Achilles tendinopathy/Heel pain
  • Patellar Tendinopathy
  • Trigger point treatment (Neck, Lumbar spine, Thighs…)
  • Anterior shin splints
  • Pseudoarthrosis (Incomplete healing after bone fractures)
  • Stress fractures
  • Rhizarthrosis
  • Trigger finger

An induction device from Zimmer Medizintechnik – emFieldPRO is used for this purpose.

Stimulation through an electromagnetic field increases energy and optimizes cell function.

Electromagnetic fields can penetrate cells, tissues, organs, and bones without deformation or loss, activate tissue electrochemistry, and enhance cell and cell membrane functions.

emFieldPRO generates a magnetic field of 3 Tesla, this strong magnetic field stimulates nerve cells, muscles, and blood vessels.

Typically, 3-5 sessions are conducted at weekly intervals.

The treatment lasts for 20 minutes and is painless.

Contraindications include pacemakers, pregnancy, and possibly various implants.

Common indications include:

  • Tendon irritations
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Back pain / Muscle tension
  • Stress reactions in bones
  • Acute pain

Acupuncture is a healing method derived from traditional Chinese medicine (TCM).

In both body acupuncture and ear acupuncture, fine needles are inserted at specific points on the body.

The application of acupuncture leads to energy balance and harmonization of Yin and Yang, allowing Qi to flow smoothly. This harmonization stimulates the body’s self-healing mechanisms, resulting in healing or improvement of symptoms.

Acupuncture can be used for a variety of disorders, either alone or in combination with other therapeutic approaches. It is a highly effective pain treatment.

Indications:

  • Spinal pain (trigger points, degeneration, blockages)
  • Knee osteoarthritis
  • Dizziness
  • Migraine
  • Shoulder-arm syndrome (calcific tendinosis, bursitis, arthritis)
  • Tennis elbow / Golfer’s elbow
  • Intercostal neuralgia
  • Carpal tunnel syndrome
  • Achilles tendon pain
  • Plantar fasciitis / Heel spur
  • „Sleep Crown“ – Relaxation
  • „Manager’s Program“ – Activation

The body’s own anti-inflammatory substances can alleviate pain and improve irritation conditions. These endogenous substances (growth factors, cytokines) are present in high numbers in the blood’s platelets (thrombocytes).

In ACP / PRP therapy, a few milliliters of blood are drawn from the patient using a special dual-chamber syringe. Subsequently, the blood is processed through a standardized procedure, and the obtained concentrate can be injected into the patient under sterile conditions.

Possible indications:

  • Joint osteoarthritis
  • Tendon disorders (e.g., Achilles tendon, patellar tendon, tennis/golfer’s elbow)
  • Muscle injuries (muscle fiber tears)
  • Ligament injuries (e.g., ankle ligament injuries)
  • Frozen shoulder – Shoulder stiffness
  • Facet joint infiltration (spine)
  • Periradicular infiltration (spine)
  • Epidural infiltration (spine)
  • Proliferation therapy

The major advantage of this therapy lies in the fact that only the body’s own substances are injected into the patient, thereby avoiding allergies or intolerances.

Next-Generation Therapy Method

The goal of modern osteoarthritis therapy is joint preservation, pain reduction, and maintenance of mobility. This is achievable through innovative orthobiological treatment methods, including stem cell therapy.

In a gentle outpatient procedure under local anesthesia, adipose tissue is harvested from the abdomen or thigh. This tissue contains the so-called „stromal vascular fraction“ – SVF – with essential mesenchymal stem cells. These can be injected into up to 4 joints in combination with the anti-inflammatory substances from the blood plasma (ACP).

A single injection can significantly reduce pain and slow down arthritis-related cartilage degeneration. The effect lasts for up to 3 years and can be extended through a „booster“ with ACP.

Osteoarthritis refers to the wear and tear of joint cartilage.

The onset of pain in osteoarthritis is complex, involving joint synovial inflammation, bone overload reactions, soft tissue issues like tendon strain, lack of movement, and reduced muscle strength. Therefore, it’s crucial to halt or slow down the degeneration process at an early stage.

This can be achieved through treatment with hyaluronic acid.

The effects – pain reduction, improved joint mobility, and enhanced mobility – often begin after the initial treatments and can further improve throughout the course of therapy. Precise diagnostics of the location and severity of cartilage damage, exclusion of instabilities, body analysis, and nutritional guidance are essential.

Hyaluronic acid can be effectively combined with ACP therapy to enhance its effects.

Treatment with Botox (Botulinum) is a well-established procedure in medicine, tried and tested for many years.

Its acceptance is widespread. Due to its good tolerability and low risk of side effects, it now has versatile applications.

The results of the treatment typically manifest within 2-4 days, but at the latest within 2 weeks, and last for 4-12 months depending on the location. The treatment can be repeated as often as desired. With regular use, the musculature relaxes and harmonizes on a permanent basis.

Medical Indications:

  • Teeth grinding (Bruxism)
  • Excessive sweating (Hyperhidrosis)
  • Chronic neck pain
  • Chronic back pain
  • Migraine
  • Myofascial pain
  • Radial epicondylitis
  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Morton’s neuroma

A proven method for specific spinal pain such as facet joint arthritis or disc changes involves targeted injections.

These can be administered in an outpatient procedure under control (using fluoroscopy or ultrasound) directly to the affected structure. The therapy includes the use of pain relievers, cortisone, as well as ACP therapy.

The treatment is performed as facet joint infiltration, periradicular and epidural infiltration, and as proliferation therapy.

Chronic pain in the spinal and pelvic/SIJ region often arises from weakened ligaments and tendons, as well as a decline in muscle mass.

Proliferation therapy is a regenerative injection treatment using components of the patient’s own blood (ACP) to rebuild the weakened collagen structures. Proliferation therapy thus presents a viable alternative to surgery or pain medication.

Manual medicine or chiropractic therapy is a medical treatment provided by physicians to address functional disorders of the musculoskeletal system.

Both clinical assessment and treatment are exclusively performed by hand, setting manual medicine apart from invasive or medication-based therapies.

Functional disorders such as restricted joint mobility (blockage) in the spine or limb joints, as well as issues with muscles and fascia, are within the scope of this therapy.

Treatment methods encompass mobilizations, manipulations, and trigger point therapy.

Kinesio-taping is a recognized therapy in everyday practice used to treat pain syndromes, sports injuries, and lymphatic system disorders.

The tape used is elastic and adhered to the skin, with a retention period of 7-10 days depending on the level of activity.

The following effects are achieved with the tape:

  • Pain relief
  • Improved movement
  • Functional joint stabilization
  • Promotion of blood circulation
  • Enhancement of metabolism
  • Lymphatic drainage

Indications:

  • Back pain
  • Muscle issues (strains, muscle fiber tears, atrophies, imbalances)
  • Osteoarthritis therapy
  • Acute and chronic ligament injuries
  • Tendinitis, Achilles tendon pain, epicondylitis, patellar tendinopathy
  • Shoulder impingement syndrome, shoulder instability, rotator cuff rupture, shoulder instability

Likewise, it is effective for non-orthopedic issues such as headaches, neuropathies, and lymphedema.

Human beings require physical activity to remain healthy and maintain their performance levels.

Especially when dealing with a chronic condition or an acute injury in the orthopedic-trauma surgical domain, regular personal exercises are necessary for swift and complete recovery, reducing the time needed for full restoration.

With an individualized therapy plan and detailed instructions for self-practice, you can perform exercises tailored to your needs at home or while on the go.

As your treating physicians, we will create a personalized therapy plan for you, including comprehensive exercise descriptions, utilizing the services of Mawendo GmbH.

The comprehensive body composition analysis using InBody provides you with valuable parameters in just 1 minute, such as percentage of body fat, segmental muscle mass, and intra- and extracellular water.

Health-related values like the visceral fat area and phase angle enable comprehensive and efficient health counseling.

The analysis is straightforward, painless, and can be conducted in a few minutes at the practice.

You will receive a detailed report as well as extensive consultation/analysis – ensuring you always have an overview of your health.

This supports targeted therapy planning, monitoring of therapy success, and enhances motivation.

Engaging in targeted movement, training strength, endurance, and coordination is enjoyable and promotes health.

Medical device training is a gentle form of exercise suitable for all ages and physical conditions. It is recommended for effective muscle building even after surgery and for osteoporosis management. It is crucial that the training is tailored to your individual capacity and ensures correct execution of exercises.

We offer medical exercise therapy in collaboration with our partners.

We provide expert opinions for determining disability due to occupational accidents (initial and follow-up pension assessments, correlation assessments), as well as for private accident insurance.

Not intended for social court assessments.

Aesthetic Medicine

Treatment of facial expression lines with Botox is by far the most commonly used therapy in aesthetic medicine.

Due to its good tolerability and low risk of side effects, it has a versatile application today.

Relaxing the muscles smooths out the corresponding wrinkles. Aesthetic medicine can now administer the active ingredient in a way that eliminates wrinkles while preserving an individual and natural facial expression, just appearing fresher and more vibrant.

Visible results of the treatment usually occur within 2-4 days, but no later than 2 weeks, and last for 4-12 months depending on the location. The treatment can be repeated as often as desired. With regular use, the muscle tone remains relaxed and harmonized over the long term.

Indications:

  • Forehead Wrinkles (Frown Lines; Forehead Lines)
  • Crow’s Feet
  • Eyebrow Lift
  • Bunny Lines
  • Gummy Smile
  • Marionette Lines / Drooping Corners of the Mouth
  • Chin Dimpling

Treatment of non-mimetic facial wrinkles and volume enhancement using fillers.

Fillers are part of the trend of non-invasive treatments and have gained strong popularity in recent years.

Various wrinkles can be corrected through the injection of fillers.

Indications:

  • Nasolabial Folds
  • Eye Wrinkles
  • Lip Volume Enhancement
  • Marionette Lines
  • Lip Wrinkles
  • Cheek Augmentation
  • Chin Line Straightening

Combining multiple therapies may be appropriate – known as facial composition.

In a personal consultation, we provide information about the suitable method, its mode of action, duration of effect, and the expected outcome.

PRP Lifting (PRP = Platelet-Rich Plasma) is a relatively new, low-risk method of wrinkle treatment and skin rejuvenation.

The treatment initiates a natural regeneration process: stimulation of fibroblast cell growth, promotion of collagen production, and formation of new blood vessels. The skin appears firmer and younger, wrinkles are plumped. Additionally, blood circulation in the skin is stimulated.

A significant advantage of this therapy is that no foreign substances are used; only components of one’s own blood are therapeutically applied.

Initial results can be seen after a few days.

The process of cell regeneration is fully completed after approximately 2-3 months.

Indications:

  • Skin improvement / revitalization / radiance (face, neck, décolleté)
  • Treatment of acne scars
  • Wound healing

In the middle (meso) layer of the skin, injections are administered with skin-regenerating substances such as hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance with high water-binding capacity, as well as vitamins, minerals, and amino acids. These substances contribute to revitalization and thus tightening of the skin, making it appear more radiant and youthful.

A significant advantage of this procedure is that it treats the skin gently, presenting a low stress factor for the body, as it operates with shallow injection depth and low doses of active ingredients. Mesolift is particularly suitable when wrinkles are still very mild. Also, facial areas with thin skin, such as around the eyes, as well as the neck, décolleté, and back of the hands, respond well to Mesolift treatment.

For long-lasting effects, a treatment series of 4-6 sessions at intervals of several weeks is recommended.

Indications:

  • Skin improvement / revitalization / radiance (face, neck, décolleté)

Injection lipolysis is an aesthetic therapy capable of reducing unwanted fatty deposits in a simple, targeted, and sustainable manner.

This is achieved through subcutaneous injections of a combination of active substances, phosphatidylcholine (PPC), and deoxycholic acid (DOC), into the areas that need reduction. Specifically, for smaller fatty deposits and the facial region, injection lipolysis is a highly successful therapy.

Visible results usually occur within 3-6 months after treatment. The procedure can be repeated 2-3 times.

Indications:

  • Double chin
  • „Sagging“ – cheek padding
  • Nasolabial fold
  • Lipomas
  • Back bulges
  • Abdomen
  • Upper arms
  • Thighs
  • Cellulite

Cryotherapy is a simple, gentle, and painless procedure used to treat small, benign, and superficial skin lesions.

Indications:

  • Pigment spots
  • Sunspots
  • Fibromas
  • Warts

Liquid nitrogen is used for this purpose, with a microjet (50-55 bar) reaching a tissue temperature of approximately -90°C for complete tissue necrosis within seconds. This microjet can be precisely applied to avoid damaging the surrounding healthy tissue.
